This is a charming, historic hotel located right in downtown Marion, about a 15 minute drive from the venue.. We have blocked off the entire hotel from August 29-September 1. However, the hotel only has 35 rooms, so if it is important to you to stay close to the venue, book your rooms ASAP! To make a reservation you will need to call and say you are reserving a room for Mira and James’ Wedding.
Abingdon:
If you are not able to snag a reservation at the General Francis hotel, check out the nearby city of Abingdon. Only a thirty minute drive from Marion, Abingdon is about as charming as you could imagine and has many reputable hotel chains like the Hampton Inn, Country Inn and Suites, Fairfield Inn and Suites and Holiday Inn Express. If you’re feeling extremely fancy, feel free to check out the Martha Washington Inn and Spa.
Airbnb: There are many lovely Airbnbs in the area if this is your jam!

Hungry Mother is a beautiful state park, 15 minutes from the venue, with swimming, hiking and various accommodation options. Staying here may only be for the adventurous, those on a budget, or those with flexible travel plans, but if that sounds like you, look below for your options:
Hungry Mother offers affordable tent and Yurt camping with very nice public showers and restrooms.
The park also offers accommodations in the original, New Deal, Conservation Corps cabins (and even a lodge for larger groups). If you are interested in this option, please be aware that the farther in advance you make the reservation, the more nights you will be required to stay. So this may only be a good option if you know you are planning on making a longer trip or if you are willing to fly by the seat of your pants and make last minute arrangements. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND LINENS!
